Stonebridge Partners Closes Fourth Investment Fund

July, 2008

Stonebridge Partners announces the closing of its fourth investment fund, Stonebridge Partners Equity Fund IV, L.P., on July 15, 2008.

Fund IV’s anchor investor is John Hancock Life Insurance Company of Boston. The Fund incorporates several innovative features, providing Stonebridge maximum flexibility in structuring and closing new transactions. The Fund is a blind equity pool for small and medium sized transactions and incorporates co-investment equity features for larger deals. In addition to providing equity for Fund IV core company acquisitions, the Fund’s limited partners also have a strong appetite for financing the mezzanine debt and potentially a portion of the senior debt as well.

Stonebridge intends to close 10 core company investments in the new fund over the next three years. Fund IV will invest between $15 and $50 million of equity in transactions valued between $50 and $200 million alongside equity co-investment partners, mezzanine investors and senior debt. Approximately $30 million was invested by the Fund and its limited partners in the first transaction completed by the Fund.
